Rod Puppets

This page specializes in the intricacies of puppets that are mounted and operated on rods (aka dowels).  A rod puppet may possess only one dowel in order for it to be held and move.  The rod that supports the weight of the puppet is called the control rod.  Any rod other than the control rod is referred to as a support rod, and these dowels with help to articulate the various limbs and extremities of the puppet.
